SOTU vs. The Hurricane

I hope all of our SOTU friends and family on the East Coast has as much of a non-eventful time during "Hurricane" Irene! Seemed like just another day of bad New York City weather to us...

Still, we took all of the proper precautions to protect the SOTU showroom, and spent the day pulling all of our fabulous costumes out of their hiding places. We will be adding plenty of new costumes, masks and accessories to the SOTU costume rental shop on Etsy, so keep checking in with us!

What happens when you go into the SOTU showroom for a simple day of cleaning, sweeping, and organizing?

This happens.

It's a slippery slope when you are surrounded by so many gorgeous headpieces...and a feather wall!

With New York Fashion week almost upon us, we will be opening the SOTU showroom to all fashion lovers to pop in and say hello! If you would like to try on a giant showgirl feather headdress or ogle our custom masks & accessories, email Christina for an appointment!

Can you believe that summer is almost over?
As much as we'll miss lounging at the beach, SOTU is so excited for fall fashion!
We've been knee-deep in new projects this summer, and looking forward to more as we move into the holiday season...have you checked out the SOTU costume rental store on Etsy yet?? With time flying so fast, we wouldn't want you to be stuck with that same old boring "I'm dressed as myself" costume again this year!

SOTU Fashion Editorial Video Shoot

What a wild week it has been!

We met with some very lovely ladies at a SOTU model casting last Friday and after a whirlwind 2-day shoot, we are on pins and needles to debut all of the gorgeous new SOTU couture pieces that will be featured in this new fashion editorial video!

Of course, you can always experience the SOTU costume and accessory collection at our Williamsburg showroom, BUT...

It will be so much fun to see these pieces in action with a little dramatic doppleganger blackmail, jilted lovers and a futuristic lady-sings-the-blues!
