Sneak Peek: *NEW* SOTU Costumes!

With our newest team of summer interns on board and the SOTU Productions - Lifestyle Trimco - Wanderlust "Visionaries" opening event (more to come soon!) approaching rapidly, we were buried in materials for new costume pieces at the design studio this week.  Armed with enough trim, crystals, embellishments, buttons, and fabric fit for a few queens *ahem*, here is a sneak peek at some of the secret projects that we'll be bringing to life this summer!

A SOTU Summer Soiree with Yotel

After traveling so much in the last year, leaving trails of glitter wherever we go, it was such a welcomed change of pace to have some of our favorite SOTU costumes and performers make a cameo in our own New York City for the Yotel Summer Soiree last night!

Hosted by the unstoppable Kage Konsulting and featuring gorgeous DJ Donna Cruz, the party was a huge success as we christened the opening of Yotels outdoor bar and terrace with a little SOTU tableau vivant.  Guests gathered around our stunning Human Chandelier, snapping shots with the lovely "centerpiece", SOTU dancer Shauna.  

Our beloved Femmes de Fleur made an appearance, creating a twin sensation amongst the crowd...

And last, but certainly not least, our dazzling Fire Red Cardinal...SOTUs radiant model Nofar in a Swarovski crystal encrusted bustier fanned by a 6 foot long feather tail.

What better way to start off a Wednesday work day than with a fresh "we just back from Miami Beach" glow??

WHAT a weekend...it may have rained buckets and wind-blown our hair to shreds, but SOTU Productions and Nikon still stole the show with a cameo at the Best Buy Achievers 2012 event at the Miami Beach Convention Center!

SOTU models Sarah, Nofar and Torrey lit up the stage while guests tried the new Nikon 1 cameras. Luckily, we had our own Nikon cameras on hand to capture a few behind-the-scenes moments...

At the end of a successful day with Nikon, we caught some rays at the "beach" *ahem* and hit Lincoln Road for a bit of souvenir shopping...angry weather be damned!

In the spirit of Miami Beach, we threw on a few hair extensions and wild prints for a night out on the town...

Who does karaoke better than SOTU?  

Absolutely no one.

SOTUs Leading Lady

With our new costume home, a showroom collaboration with Lifestyle Trimco and creative director Sean Sager, set-up and ready for an opening soiree, the SOTU design team is taking over our studio space in Brooklyn to create brand new costume pieces...not to mention preparing for the debut of Ami Goodhearts ready-to-wear line!

Ami, SOTU Productions owner and costume designer extraordinaire, is known around the globe for her surreal and innovative creations.  Her designs have been photographed by Deborah Turbeville, Reagan Cameron, Hedi Slimane, Sebastian Faena, Mary Ellen Mark, Josh Olins, Paola Kudacki, Terry Richardson and Maro Testino.  With the fashion world calling, Ami has taken inspiration from SOTUs wild live events and lavish costumes to create a trendy collection of ready-to-wear pieces from celestial leggings to feather trim cocktail dresses and much more.

Ami Goodhearts expert eye for amazing costume design didn't happen overnight...take a look at the beginnings of a lifelong career in these childhood snapshots!
