SOTU Showroom Takes Manhattan

Let the countdown begin!

On Sunday October 23rd, SOTU Productions will be joining the ranks of our dear friend Ladyfags POP SOUK at the Hiro Ballroom.

"More than just a marketplace, it’s an event where some of the most talented New Yorkers will be hanging out in their own personal pop-up shops selling treasures from their own closets or of their own designs."

SOTU will be selling all sorts of treasures from the showgirl vaults, new and classic costume pieces from the design studio, and more.

We can't imagine a better way to spend a Sunday!

So many amazing stylists have been popping into SOTU lately, and we love to see our pieces making a cameo in new fashion stories and magazines.

Point, Click and Shoot with SOTU

When Jes Gordon Events approached us for the Nikon 1 unveiling soiree at Glass Houses, we were thrilled to whip up a few new looks for some of our favorite SOTU ladies! Inspired by the stylish and elegant fashion photography of the 1950's, SOTU created four gorgeous monochromatic, vintage-inspired dresses and also a delightfully pink ballerina ensemble for our modern dancer, Jillian Siegel. SOTU models Torrey Cole, Sarah Conrad, Jessica Martineau and Anne Otto looked absolutely stunning and certainly got the attention of camera-happy guests!

SOTU costume design interns are on a swatch mission in the Garment District this afternoon, doing a little detective work for our latest Detroit Institute of Arts costume collection.

A new round of model castings start next week, and we are giving the SOTU showroom and design studio a major makeover!

Bon Temps with SOTU

Fall is here and SOTU is ready for a season full of fabulous parties, new costumes and finally getting to wear our leather jackets again!

With several new projects in the midst, we are busy bee's at the SOTU showroom and design studio. Elegant, vintage-inspired gowns are covering the work tables this week for an upcoming event with a few lovely SOTU ladies...who doesn't love a little Dovima moment in their work day?

If you are in the New York City area or own a jet plane, be sure to check out the Bjork Ball on September 29th in Brooklyn! Described as "a multimedia retrospective performance art party in celebration of Bjork’s past works", the Bjork Ball should be a wild night of art, music, performance and you may even spot a SOTU costume!
